This 1,200-ton hydraulic powder compacting press is being used for research & development by a leading manufacturer of building products. It features a multi-action design which allows the operator to set fill heights via the lower or middle action while also providing uniform compaction density. The main ram applies downward force to the powder, the middle “cavity” ram sets the fill depth, and the lower “knockout” cylinder ejects the finished parts. Neoprene bellows are installed over each post to protect the exposed areas from corrosion due to contact with powder.
