Beckwood has been chosen by Branch Manufacturing Company to retrofit an existing 750-ton straight-side draw press, originally manufactured by Pacific Press in 1979. The scope includes completely re-designing and replacing all hydraulic and electrical components, adding two cylinders to achieve speed requirements, and developing a custom HMI with recipe handling and data acquisition. Beckwood has been awarded a contract by Wabash National Corporation to engineer and build a custom 3,500-ton hydraulic bulge forming press. Scheduled for delivery in October 2019, this machine will be used to form stainless steel and aluminum tank heads with diameters up to 156-in. for Wabash National’s tank and silo business. Read More

Beckwood and Kansas Oklahoma Machine Tools (KOMT) recently delivered the first ever press with automated die change to Spirit AeroSystems for use in Spirit’s Joule Form manufacturing process.
